He didn't seem too interested in me being there. He played with his friends, and didn't want a whole lot to do with me. Frankly, I got a little bored. None of the other parents ate anything, so I was also starving. I went home early. I didn't see the next two hours of picnic picking up any for me. He said he wasn't upset, and I went out of my way to assure him that he was supposed to play with his friends. He said it was fine, but he is being a little obstinate this evening. Letting go / holding on is tricky!
