Light in August

It took me two whole weeks, plus a few hours, to read this book. It was good, I was just slow, and I kept disengaging from it for some reason. I am still not sure if I am a huge Faulkner fan or not. Something about the slow, hot, dusty South makes me almost bored with him. I remember how exciting the elements were in Ethan Frome. Faulkner's days are so hot and bored.

I started immediately on The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, which is turning out to be incredible, and I am positive that I will have it finished before it's due at the library Friday.
